Artist Statement

Postmodern Symbols (2025)

Capitalism presupposes desire. Drawing on the work of Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, and Tracey Emin, each piece examines precarity and symbolic systems in a vernacular that is both commonplace and numinous. I employ elements of pop art, still life, and the readymade to critique postmodern sign systems and the suprastructure of modern man.
