Artist Statement
My photography is about ritual and spontaneity. While exceedingly intimate, these artifacts implicate my mode of living and the creative container in which I express my artistic subjectivity. I seek to probe the very construction of self and the artist's gaze. I utilize a range of forms, including still life, readymade, and pop art. My work draws on the themes of ablution, dailiness, and the intransigence of beauty. |
